Winnaars IDFA 2022 bekend

Wij feliciteren alle winnaars van IDFA 2022 en in het bijzonder DDG-leden Petra Lataster-Czisch en Peter Lataster. Zij ontvingen de IDFA Award voor Best Dutch Film voor Journey Through Our World.

Donderdag 17 november werden in ITA (Internationaal Theater Amsterdam) tijdens de Awards Ceremony de winnaars bekendgemaakt van de 35ste editie van IDFA. Apolonia, Apolonia van Lea Glob is de winnaar van de IDFA Award for Best Film. Angie Vinchito won de IDFA Award for Best Film in de Envision Competition voor Manifesto (Russia).

International Competition

• IDFA Award for Best Film: Apolonia, Apolonia – Lea Glob (Denemarken, Polen, Frankrijk)
• IDFA Award for Best Directing: Much Ado About Dying – Simon Chambers (Ierland, Verenigd Koninkrijk)
• IDFA Award for Best Editing: Journey Through our World – Mario Steenbergen (Nederland)
• IDFA Award for Best Cinematography: Paradise – Paul Guilhaume (Frankrijk, Zwitserland)

De jury van de International Competition: Pirjo Honkasalo, Vanja Kaludjercic, Yousry Nasrallah, Mary Stephen, Yoshihiko Yatabe.

Envision Competition

• IDFA Award for Best Film: Manifesto – Angie Vinchito (Rusland)
• IDFA Award for Best Directing: The Fabulous Ones – Roberta Torre (Italië)
• IDFA Award for Outstanding Artistic Contribution: My Lost Country – Ishtar (Costa Rica, Irak, Chili, Egypte)

Special Mention: Notes for a Film – Ignacio Agüero (Chili, Frankrijk)

De jury van de Envision Competition bestond uit Rosa Bosch, Thania Dimitrakopoulou, Pawel Lozinski, Jumana Manna en Kidlat Tahimik.

IDFA DocLab Competition for Immersive Non-Fiction

• IDFA DocLab Award for Immersive Non-Fiction: In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats – Darren Emerson (Verenigd Koninkrijk)
• IDFA DocLab Special Jury Award for Creative Technology: Plastisapiens – Miri Chekhanovich en Edith Jorisch (Canada, Israel)

De jury van de IDFA DocLab Competition for Immersive Non-Fiction bestond uit Marcel van Brakel, Katayoun Dibamehr en Amelia Winger-Bearskin.

• IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling: He Fucked the Girl Out of of Me – Taylor McCue (Verenigde Staten)
• Special Jury Award for Creative Technology: His Name is My Name – Eline Jongsma, Kel O’Neill (Nederland)

De jury van de IDFA DocLab Competition for Digital Storytelling bestond uit Loren Hammonds, Jepchumba en Leonieke Verhoog.

​IDFA Competition for Short Documentary

• IDFA Award for Best Short Documentary: Away – Ruslan Fedotow (Hongarije, België, Portugal)

De jury van de IDFA Competition for Short Documentary bestond uit Manuel Abramovich, Núria Aidelman en Stefan Pavlović.

IDFA Competition for Youth Documentary

• IDFA Award for Best Youth Film, 14 jaar en ouder: Home is Somewhere Else – Carlos Hagerman en Jorge Villalobos (Mexico, Verenigde Staten)
• IDFA Award for Best Youth Film, 9-13 jaar: Ramboy – Matthias Joulaud en Lucien Roux (Zwitserland)

Speciale vermelding: Jasmin’s Two Homes – Inka Achté en Hanna Karppinen (Finland)

De jury van de IDFA Competition for Best Youth Documentary bestond uit Eneos Çarka, Viola Gabrielli en Shamira Raphaëla.

IDFA 2022 cross-section awards

De internationale jury’s kozen ook winnaars uit de International Competition, Envision Competition, Luminous en Frontlight, voor drie Awards. Daarnaast werd de Beeld & Geluid IDFA ReFrame Award toegekend.

• IDFA Award for Best First Feature: The Etilaat Roz – Abbas Rezaie (Afghanistan)

Speciale vermelding: Guapo’y – Sofia Paoli Thorne (Paraguay, Argentinië)

Hier staan alle genomineerde films. De jury bestond uit Ben Fowlie, Coco Schrijber en Rasmus Steen.
